Shooting headshots for a friend’s daughter recently I was lucky enough to catch a candid moment when she was listening to her ballet instructor. It ended up being one of my favorites from the shoot.

I recently had the opportunity to shoot Brown Bird  for the Portland music blog Hilly Town when they came to town with The Devil Makes Three. This shot of David Lamb is one of my favorites from the evening. Check them out if you get the chance. You won’t regret it.

I had a great time shooting the fun folks at the Creative Office Pavilion / Murray, Plumb & Murray Holiday Party last night in Portland. A beautiful space, great food, good music and fun times. Thanks y’all.

I am in middle of reading a book called Deep Blues: A Musical and Cultural History of the Mississippi Delta so the timing was perfect this weekend to head out and shoot Beam & Fink, an acoustic country blues and roots duo here in Portland. Check them out live if you get the chance. Good stuff.

Halloween two years ago I looked out my front window and saw the kid across the street sitting on his front porch. It was one of those perfect moments. These shots remain a few of my favorites. When you see it. Shoot it. Happy Halloween.
